Otherside… because there is always an other side!

Outdoors… because you can’t build a proper fire indoors… and you certainly can’t see the sky.

The title itself is intended to serve as a simple metaphor for the clichéd Robert Frost film about life’s little choices, always leaving a touch of sorrow over the trails not traveled. Well, here at Otherside Outdoors we don’t harbor any regrets. If the chosen path doesn’t suit, we adjust course. There are no absolute perfect possible outcomes and no singular angle of approach for achieving it. All options are simply, Other... or another… or whatever, you get the point!

Borne out of necessity in the foothills of easternmost West Tennessee, Otherside Outdoors is the ever-progressing rearrangement of old and new, urban and rural, classically trained and self-taught. I grew up in the city,  but spent my summers in the country apprenticing on the family farm. I like to think the education I garnered there outweighs any of the tertiary attempts I made later in life. Collectively, it all equates to something somewhere between Agrarian Folk Artist and Mad Scientist.
